Women Up North Housing eLearning conversion case study

How we transformed Women Up North Housing’s face-to-face DFV training into a scalable, accessible eLearning program with full LMS setup.

The client

Women Up North Housing (WUNH) has been delivering life-changing work in Northern NSW for over 40 years, supporting women and children who have experienced domestic and family violence and sexual assault.

The challenge

WUNH’s face-to-face training workshops had earned strong feedback from frontline workers across the region. The team had a bigger vision: extend that impact by transforming their in-person content into scalable, accessible eLearning that could reach workers from all sectors, anytime, anywhere. They also needed a user-friendly LMS to make delivery seamless.

Our approach

We began by working closely with the WUNH team to understand their content — practical, powerful, and deeply rooted in the lived experiences of survivors and advocates. Our role was to adapt this material for digital delivery without losing the human heart at its core.

We reimagined the face-to-face training into modular eLearning, built around rich storytelling, interactivity, and reflection. We then sourced, configured, and branded a lightweight LMS to host the course, easy to use, scalable, and fit for purpose. Throughout, accessibility was a priority: the course was built to WCAG standards so every learner, regardless of ability, could benefit from the experience.

This was a funded project. We were proud to contribute additional time and expertise on a pro bono basis, because some causes are worth going the extra mile for.

The outcome

Women Up North Housing now has a scalable training solution that extends the reach of their expertise well beyond the workshop room and into the hands of frontline workers across Northern NSW.

The result is an accessible eLearning course that equips professionals to respond to disclosures of sexual violence with care, confidence, and clarity.
