Rise provides the blocks you need to build great learning, but it doesn’t suggest the sequence of blocks that work well together to create proven and effective content flow.

LESSON 1: START WITH THE RIGHT LAYOUT
Content
This section will set you off on the right foot by making sure you’re using the best layouts in line with the learner’s needs.
Here, we will explore:
- Full courses -vs- micro learns: when to use each.
- Setting the theme of your course in line with the best design.
- Selecting the most appropriate navigation option
- The anatomy of a well-designed lesson.
LESSON 2: IMAGINE WHAT’S POSSIBLE
Content
In this lesson, we will walk you through some of our most popular sequences and show you what’s possible in Rise.
Here, we will provide you with innovative solutions for:
- Adding beautiful bridges and headers that bring in the wow factor.
- Using GIFS and images effectively.
- Creating accessible and powerful scenario layouts.
- Creating interactive branching games inside of Rise.
LESSON 3: NAVIGATE THE TOOLS

With your mind kinda blown by what’s possible, we’ll then show you how to bring inspiring Rise blocks to life by using our custom Canva templates.
These templates will enable you to:
- Create bridges and headers.
- Build accessible GIFS and images.
- Design interactive images for scenario layouts and infographics.
- Quickly build a bank of customised icons branded to your colours.
This course includes access to a series of customisable and custom-sized Canva templates to create graphics for:
- Gorgeous lesson starters
- Titles and bridges
- Learning maps
- Information layouts for all the interactive blocks in Rise
- Scenario blocks, and
- Icons!
Each template provides a series of different layout styles to get you started. All can be customised to match your brand!
LESSON 4: GENERATE QUALITY

In the final section, we pull all of this together and set you up to start building.
Here we will explore:
- Tips and tools for making courses AA rated accessible.
- The power of block templates using our Rise Design system.
- Exporting your course correctly.
A Rise design system will be sent to you in the form of a Rise course. This way you can go into edit mode to select the sequences and add them to your Rise library. Always having perfect sequences there at the touch of a button.
FAQs
You will have 12 months of access to the course and to use the coaching sessions. You can go as fast or as slow as you like!
Although it is self-paced learning, we recommend you allow for 4 hours/week for 4 weeks.
It is recommended that you have a basic understanding of using Rise before you take this course. Articulate Rise has a comprehensive library of resources you can access to learn these basics skills.
Included in the cost is 1 x 45-minute one on one coaching session with one of our Senior Designers who can guide you to know how to use these tools and get the most out of this investment. This virtual coaching session will be both informative and fun.
You can choose when you would like to take advantage of this coaching session. You may like to have it upfront to introduce you to the course assets and set you up for success, or at the end, once you have played with the tools for a while and have questions you want clarified. How it looks depends on your needs.

You will need access to Articulate Rise 360. You can start with a free trial version of this you haven’t already got a subscription.
To make the most of these resources, we also recommend you purchase a Pro license to Canva as all our graphic design templates are provided in that platform. However, you can still access our templates with Canva’s free license, noting some assets will be watermarked until you upgrade.
Yes! On successful completion, you will receive a certificate from Instructional Design Australia to recognise the development of your professional capabilities. Add it to your LinkedIn profile and resume!
